Preparation for the sending

The Journal Anales de la Real Academia Nacional de Farmacia will publish articles in all areas of pharmaceutical sciences. Submission of a manuscript implies that the paper has not been submitted to or published in any other journal, in the same or similar form, in Spanish, English or in any other language. The authors agree that if accepted for publication the article copyright is transferred to the Real Academia Nacional de Farmacia (RANF). Authors are required to obtain permission to reproduce previously copyrighted materials from other sources. The editors reserve the right to introduce minor changes in  the manuscript to adjust them to the norms of the Journal or improve the style. The content  of the article will be assesed by  appropiate referees, indicated by the scientific editor.

Articles should conform to one of the categories below:

1) Articles, for communication of original research. Articles should follow the usual form of presentation, including Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Acknowledgements and References. They should have a maximum of 25 pages, including figures, tables, diagrams, etc. All pages should be numbered.

2) Reviews, for communicating progress in a specific field of pharmacy. They should have a maximum of 40 pages, including figures, tables, diagrams, etc. All pages should be numbered.

All manuscripts should be submitted through the online submission system in DOC or DOCX Microsoft Word format. The graphical images (figures), tables and videos, will be sent as attached files separately. The graphical images, must be sent in jpg or png format, with a minimal resolution of 640x480x72 px, and named to facilitate his location (ej. Fig01.jpg, fig02.jpg, etc.). The legends of Tables will be included in only one file of attached text. The legends of graphical images and videos will be sent also in that file and should be numbered. Schemes of chemical structures should all be of the same size, so that they can be uniformly reduced. They should be sent numbered in the only one file of text, which include schemes and legends. The size of submitted file must be less than 4 MB (preferently less than 2 MB). In the case of extreme difficulties when submitting online, manuscripts can be submitted as e-mail attachments to the editorial office.

Multimedia Files

Multimedia files, such as 3-dimensional computer models, videos, and interactive demonstrations, will be published as online extra to the manuscript. The preferred formats are flv and wmv. The authors must present the electronic complementary information (ESI) with the article as attached, on-line or e-mail. It is acceptable to send it in a CD to the address: Academia Nacional de Farmacia, Farmacia 11, 28004 Madrid (Spain). The additional material will be evaluated at the same time as the accompanying paper and with the same standards.

The Web address of the ESI will be referred to in the article, which will provide the context in which the ESI should be viewed.

Authors, must consider what type of material can be used in HTML or PDF, in order that it could be connected by his article across a hyperlink. Authors should, where possible, supply data in the usual file types. Other formats may be supplied, and every effort will be made to use these where possible. If you are providing an unusual file type, please provide to the Editorial Office with details of any additional software that would be required to view the files. Such software should be available freely via the web.
